Recipe: Spicy Fire Cider Tonic

Here's a recipe you can make at home to give your system a wellness boost. This spicy cider wards off colds, clears out the sinuses, and wakes up the circulatory system.
Ingredients:
1 onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
1 lemon/lime, peeled
1 hot pepper of choice (I like jalapeño, red chili, or jamaican pepper)
1/2 cup of ginger, grated
apple cider vinegar to top off jar
splash of cayenne pepper
splash of tumeric
jar with lid
wax paper (to keep vinigar from eroding the jar lid)
Optional: 1 horseradish, grated
Optional: honey to taste
Directions:
Place all ingredients in the jar.
Add apple cider vinegar and fill the jar to the top.
Place wax paper between jar and lid.
Mark the date on the jar and let it ferment for a month.
After a month, strain the liquid and place it in a storage container.
Add honey and mix well.
Dosage is 1 teaspoon or dropperful as needed.
Fire cider will last up to a year refrigerated. Be sure to check for signs of spoilage, such as off-smells and mold.
